PROSH Day 2024

PROSHGATE – Wednesday, 20th March 2024

PROSH is an iconic UWA tradition that began in 1931 and has since grown to become one of WA's biggest single-day charity events. Every year, hundreds of students dress in costumes and hit the streets of Perth on PROSH Day to sell a satirical newspaper in order to raise funds for local charities. This year, PROSH is proud to support Thread Together and bears of Hope.

UWA cancels all classes until 12pm for this event.

- CRANK UP and RAVE TO THE GRAVE before you go out selling. We have also organised a free breakfast, so get in early or miss out!
5:30am: COLLECT YOUR PAPERS
- Pick up your papers and tins from Oak Lawn – you need your UWA student card to sign out tins.
6.00am: START BOARDING BUSES
- Buses will be taking clubs and faculty societies to different locations all across Perth, so get on and start selling. You can also head to Stirling Highway to jump on a Transperth bus - bring your Smart Rider - but you CANNOT sell papers on public transport at any time.
7am: SELL PAPERS
- Shake your money maker (... your tin) and raise as much as you can for the 2023 charities. Make sure to follow the code of conduct rules while you are selling papers.
10.30am: GATHER IN MURRAY STREET MALL
- Gather in Murray Street Mall for a big thankyou and further details on the rest of the day. Contact your closest marshal or pop by Forrest Place to restock papers. Empty/partially full tins will not be accepted at this time.
10.45am: HEAD BACK TO UNI
- Head on back to uni, return your tin, attend your classes or have a nap - you got up really early and deserve it.

PROSH Olympics

Come down to Oak Lawn to participate in or watch this fierce competition where clubs battle it out in feats of strength, stamina, and possible milk chugging in 30 degree weather.

There is no minimum or maximum team size, although there will be some events which will require greater numbers, so aim for a team of at least/around 6, if possible. Each team is allowed to rotate participants throughout the activities, so bring as many people as you can (there will be bonus points for the best cheer squad)!

Team sign up links will be made available soon.

Contact the Head Marshal at prosh.marshal@gmail.com, or the PROSH Facebook page, with any queries.
